Meningkatkan Kualitas Praktikum Biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Batauga: Analisis Tantangan dan Rekomendasi Perbaikan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan praktikum biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Batauga, dengan fokus pada aspek-aspek yang memengaruhi keberhasilan praktikum, tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dan siswa, serta saran untuk perbaikan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021-2022, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru, dan kuisioner yang dibagikan kepada 19 siswa yang dipilih secara purposif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktikum biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Batauga berjalan cukup baik, namun terdapat beberapa kendala terkait ketersediaan fasilitas dan bahan praktikum, manajemen praktikum, dan perlunya kolaborasi dengan dosen dan perguruan tinggi. Sebagian besar siswa dan guru melaporkan bahwa praktikum memberikan pengalaman yang menyenangkan, meskipun variasi eksperimen dan waktu praktikum perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan fasilitas laboratorium, manajemen praktikum berupa pengelolaan waktu dan inovasi praktikum, serta kolaborasi dengan dosen dan perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas praktikum biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Batauga.
