Abstract
Menanamkan prinsip-prinsip etika pada anak adalah hal yang sangat penting, termasuk nilai kejujuran. Komunikasi persuasif terkait erat dengan perubahan sikap, tujuan utamanya adalah untuk memberikan pengaruh dan mengubah sikap seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan orang tua dalam menanamkan nilai kejujuran pada anak laki-laki di Desa Sei Apung Jaya, Kecamatan Tanjung Balai, Kabupaten Asahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu studi lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif. Prosedur pengumpulan data yang umum dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian lapangan yang dilakukan di Desa Sei Apung Jaya menunjukkan bahwa Ibu Aisyah Rambe menggunakan strategi komunikasi persuasif untuk menanamkan nilai kejujuran pada remaja laki-laki. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) mencontohkan perilaku positif, khususnya dengan memberikan contoh integritas dalam interaksi sehari-hari; 2) membuat permintaan kecil yang berkaitan dengan kejujuran; 3) terlibat dalam percakapan individu ketika putranya ditemukan berbohong atau menyembunyikan informasi; 4) menyelaraskan diri dengan prinsip-prinsip agama; 5) menggunakan bahasa yang sopan dan tidak menuduh atau menghakimi; dan 6) membimbing putranya untuk berpartisipasi dalam pengajian dan menerima pendidikan di lembaga-lembaga keagamaan. Aspek yang mendukung terdiri dari motivasi orang tua dan keterlibatan dengan remaja masjid, sedangkan faktor yang menghambat adalah pergaulan dengan teman sebaya yang memberikan dampak negatif.
