TINJAUAN KRIMINOLOGI TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA MEMBAWA SENJATA TAJAM TANPA IZIN

This study aims to find out two things. First, to find out the factors that cause the crime of carrying and possessing sharp weapons without a permit. Second, what efforts are being made by the police in dealing with the crime of carrying and possessing sharp weapons without a permit in Makassar City. This research method is empirical, which in other words is a type of sociological legal research and can also be called field research, which examines the legal provisions that apply and what actually happens in society. The results of this study are: (1) The factors that cause the crime of carrying and possessing sharp weapons without a permit are the economic factors of the community so that they encourage committing a crime that can harm and endanger the lives of others (2) The efforts made by the police to prevent the crime of carrying and possessing sharp weapons without a permit is the involvement of the community which helps inform the police so that the police can carry out investigations from community reports. The research recommendation is that it is hoped that there will be strong synergy and cooperation between the police and the community to jointly protect the surrounding environment to reduce the increase in the crime rate of carrying sharp weapons in order to create order without any disputes and to achieve legal objectives specifically on the principle of legal benefit
