This study aims to find out what factors influence the occurrence of early marriage. What is the role of the Head of Lamunre Tengah Village, Luwu Regency in implementing law No. 16 of 2019 concerning marriage. This research method applies empirical methods. The results of this study indicate that: The factors that influence the occurrence of early marriage include: promiscuity factors, self-desire factors, economic factors, educational factors and lack of understanding of parents on the impact of early marriage itself. To implement Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Marriage, the Head of Lamunre Tengah Village took definite steps to prevent early marriage from occurring by conducting outreach at every opportunity or community activity and then carrying out the advisory stage. This has been proven to reduce the number of early marriages. The recommendation in this study is to encourage youth and parents to pay more attention to the association and development of children and the village head and all his officials to increase socialization about the dangers of early marriage.
